Be a Benchmark for Safety and Accessibility
Accessibility
Objective: Sustainably improve the accessibility of our venues to ensure an inclusive experience for all users.
Key initiatives:
- Installing equipment that facilitates access for people with reduced mobility (depending on the venue: ramps, stage lifts, parking shuttle services, wheelchairs available on request);
- Deploying the Map’Expo wayfinding solution, designed to support visitors with specific needs and ensure more inclusive and accessible events;
- Developing partnerships to offer solutions that make events even more accessible;
- Establishing partnerships with organisations specialising in the integration of people facing barriers to employment.
Safety
Objective: Ensure that 100% of our venues achieve Health, Safety and Environment certification every year, with a minimum rating of A or B in audits.
Key initiatives:
- Installing fluorine-free fire extinguishers in the halls of Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, Paris Nord Villepinte and Paris Le Bourget;
- Deploying cameras, servers and screens used during the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, as well as acquiring cameras from other Olympic and Paralympic venues, to sustainably modernise our video surveillance systems;
- Winner of the Safety Awards for its innovative IoT-based security solution.
Build Responsible Partnerships
Climate Change
Objective: Encourage 100% of our strategic procurement categories to develop a climate strategy.
Key initiatives:
- Introducing a carbon clause for all strategic suppliers;
- Allocating 20% of tender evaluation scores to CSR criteria, with a strong focus on carbon performance;
- Requiring all Viparis-approved caterers to complete a carbon footprint assessment by 2027 and implement a climate strategy by 2029.
Professional Inclusion
Objective: Achieve a minimum employment integration rate of 10% for people facing barriers to employment within our catering, cleaning and security procurement categories.
Key initiatives:
- Introducing employment-integration clauses for catering, cleaning and security procurement contracts;
- Setting a target of 10% of the workforce employed by Viparis-approved caterers to come from employment integration programmes;
- Achieving a rate exceeding 15% of employees in integration programmes within cleaning, security and catering teams during the Paris 2024 Olympic Games;
- Establishing partnerships with organisations specialising in the integration of people facing barriers to employment.
Create a Positive Impact on Local Communities
Local Economic Ecosystem
Objective: Contribute to the economic and social development of the Greater Paris region.
Key initiatives:
- Creating long-term synergies with event industry stakeholders to support and strengthen the sector.
Local Non-Profit Ecosystem
Objective: Foster connections between local non-profit and social economy organisations and our clients.
Key initiatives:
- Connecting clients with organisations dedicated to professional integration, helping to promote employment and social inclusion;
- Connecting clients with organisations specialised in collecting materials and food donations to encourage reuse and circular economy practices;
- Connecting clients with organisations focused on awareness-raising initiatives, helping to strengthen understanding of social and environmental challenges.
